Whatipu lies near Wonga Wonga Bay at the mouth of Manukau Harbour. The sand is so fine here that it is like quick sand and if you stand still when crossing these little streams you will start sinking AND the water is freezing cold. All good fun!  Select the photo below to see more of this area.
